Tenerife has built up a reputation over the years as being a great place to visit. It literally has something for everyone! Great beaches and nightlife make it an ideal for anyone who is into the clubbing scene, by far the best place for this is Playa de las Americas, make sure you pay a visit to Tramps, Linekers Bar and Brannigans if you want a top night out!
For a family holiday, you should check out the quieter end of Playa de las Americas, Los Cristianos and Costa Adeje. They are hosts to resorts that have good sized rooms and a relaxed atmosphere which makes them ideal for families.

Clocking up a massive 3,718 meters and holding the award of the highest mountain in Spain, Mount Teide is definitely an attraction you should see. Did you know it's also active volcano? The last recorded eruption was in 1909, however it's been quiet ever since. I still wouldn't want to get too close, you know... just in case!
You can take a cable car up to the summit where you can take in the spectacular views of the mountains and the whole of Tenerife!
If there is one thing that Tenerife is known for, its the vibrant nightlife it has to offer. By far the best place to go for a clubbing holiday is Playa de las Americas. There are 3 areas where you can go:
- Veronica Strip
Veronica strip is home to plenty of clubs and DJ's, whereas Patch and Starco are littered with bars that have drink promotions, great atmospheres and are open to the early hours of the morning, 6AM for some!
A club called Tramps in Starco is well worth a visit. The prices are a bit steep, however you're pretty much guaranteed to have a decent night in there. They also have international DJ's playing there, so keep an eye out for when you are there!
If clubbing isn't your thing or you'd prefer to go to somewhere a bit more 'laid back' and that offers an authentic Spanish atmosphere, you should checkout the capital; Santa cruz de Tenerife. A vibrant town with plenty of alfresco bars that are great for cocktails and dancing, but not as 'wild' as the bars and clubs you'd find in Playa de las Americas!
