Arts & Museums
The Prado or Museo del Prado is a classic art museum located in central Madrid. It houses thousands of artworks by some of the world’s best artists Velasquez and Picasso being two of the best.

Places to visit
Retiro Park is an enormous park located near to The Prado. The park has breathtaking scenes of greenery with various monuments and sculptures worth viewing. Although the city surrounds all of the park, it is still a tranquil place to walk or jog and enjoy some fresh air. The park also has a lake and of course a cafe bar!
Crystal Palace or Palacio de Cristal is a beautiful architectural structure made of steel and many panes of glass. It is based in Retiro Park opposite the park's beautiful lake. Built over a century ago its first purpose was to house foreign tropical plants but in recent years its internal space has been used for contemporary art exhibitions.
Gran Via. The main artery of roads in Madrid. Gran Via is spectacular for shops, bars and hotels, it could be the equivalent of Broadway in New York City. A certain 'down town' feel with lots of hustle and bustle.
Gate of Europe is an attraction/office building located in Chamartin; a 15 minutes car journey north from Madrid's city centre. This construction is the second tallest twin tower in Spain.
Royal Palace of Madrid is home of the Spanish Royal Family. The palace is located at the west-end of the city and is a 10 minutes walk from Plaza Mayor.
